Therapy for Teens
Who am I?
How do I navigate all the pressures to "be" someone the world wants me to be?
Igniting playfulness and exploration through the use of drama therapy, or by also just talking, let's find out how you can be you, and love YOU for that.
2.
Individual Therapy
How am I?
Whether you hide, shut down, numb or distract yourself from your feelings, you've learned to do this skillfully in order to survive and cope, because you are incredibly resourceful.
In our work together, I'll invite you to build compassion for the ways you may keep yourself from feeling, and when it feels safe, we'll go underneath and befriend the grief, sorrow, loneliness, and pain with tenderness.
"We cannot heal, what we cannot feel."
- Edith Edgar
3.
Couples Therapy
How are we?
How do you imagine yourself as a couple?
I use emotionally focused techniques informed by the underlying attachment needs surfacing in your relationship to guide you towards each other and what you would like to experience in your relationship.
4.
Family Therapy
How can we be?
...if we only talked about what was upsetting us, if we talked with each other?
Informed by the Attachment-based family therapy model, I begin with the question, "What keeps you from going to each other when you are in pain, instead of going to _______ [alcohol, self-harm, food, sleep, silence, etc.]" My goal is to help rebuild emotional safety in the family: to see you go to each other for connection and love by providing your family opportunities to repair past hurts and resentments and create new, healthy ways of relating.
I offer a free 20 minute phone or video consultation to see if the services I provide would be a good fit for you and/or your family.
